The BusinessTech System is the developer of MedicTrack™, an HIV/AIDS surveillance software. The program has a number of modules.

What is MedicTrack?

MedicTrack is a Window based computer program designed for health care providers, social workers, and public health administrators to track and monitor cases of HIV/AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI).

Data Collection Needs and Challenges

Data on the effects of the disease and the risk factors are necessary for surveillance of the disease, identification of risk factors, monitoring trends in incidence of infections, treatment, supply of medicines; monitoring of the epidemic; and planning of prevention. Because STI surveillance is an element of HIV/AIDS monitoring system, proper data collection on STI is also necessary for effective management of patients and/or their sex partners, and for proper distribution of medications.

To be useful, data must be valid, complete, and timely. Unfortunately, there is a variation of the quality of data from many health care providers and public health administrators due to lack of properly trained personnel, funds, and the technology for a reliable surveillance system.

How will MedicTrack Meet these Needs and Challenges?

MedicTrack will serve these data collection needs based on the following features in various program modules:
